With spectacular views over the Solent and its unique character and style, South Parade Pier offers you an ideal venue for all your events and entertainment. The flexibility of the function rooms makes South Parade Pier a superb venue for a host of different types of event; weddings, dinner dances, family parties, sporting events, presentation evenings, live music concerts, theatrical shows, club and dance nights.

South Parade Pier is also a unique venue for conferences, seminars and meetings; day delegate rates are available and whilst we can offer no accommodation on site, this can be arranged locally with preferred room rates.

We take care of the details so that you can enjoy the occasion, simply choose from our two large function rooms, or smaller event areas.

South Parade Pier has two main rooms, plus a variety of other small areas, which can be utilised separately or combined with the other venues. Each of the main are available separately but can also be used to create a combined capacity of 1200 guests.

The largest of the pier venues is the Gaiety Suite, a two-tiered function room with a large dance floor and stage area. The impressive Victorian elegance of the room creates a classic setting and a warm and welcoming environment. The Gaiety Suite has a substantial bar area, attractive reception foyer and beautiful views over the Solent Waters from the west.

The Suite can accomodate up to 350 guests for banqueting or up to 750 for receptions and dance/music events. This is a unique and memorable venue for a host of events including weddings, dinner dances, conferences, family parties, presentation evenings and live music concerts.

The Albert Bar is the smaller of the two function rooms on the pier with a capacity of 180 guests for dining or 400 guests for reception and music/dance events. Its light and spacious style makes it perfect for the more informal reception, and is especially suited to live music and parties. The room features a central bar area with dance floor, small stage, high ceilings and sea views on three sides.

The Boardroom is a small first floor function room, ideal for seminars and smaller events. The room holds a maximum of 30 people in a theatre style layout or 14 people in a boardroom style layout. The room is located on the first floor between the Albert and Gaiety Suites.

The West Passage is a wide walk-way leading to the Gaiety Suite entrance and deck area. Its columns and swaged ceiling are reminiscent of the traditional pier style and is a colourful and characterful area. The passage can be used to compliment the Gaiety by extending the reception area, and at night is beautifully lit up from its marketry arches.
